Early-bird registration is now open: 13th Annual Conference ESIL, Naples 7-9 September 2017

Early-bird registration is now open for the 13th Annual Conference of the European Society of International Law to be held in Naples on Thursday 7 – Saturday 9 September 2017.
The conference theme is  ''Global Public Goods, Global Commons and Fundamental Values: The Responses of International Law''.

The conference, hosted by the University of Naples Federico II, will be held in the Castel dell’Ovo, a magnificent medieval building on the seafront.

Conference highlights include:
·         18 different panels with more than 50 presentations
·         Pre-conference ESIL Interest Group events on Wednesday 6 September
·         Opening session in the Theatre of the Royal Palace of Naples, with a Keynote Lecture by Sundhya Pahuja, University of Melbourne
·         Closing session including a Keynote Lecture by Riccardo Pisillo Mazzeschi, University of Siena
·         A last-minute ‘Current Events’ panel will be added to the programme
·         Book exhibitions by ESIL institutional members and other exhibitors
·         A conversation with the winner of the 2017 ESIL Book Prize
·         The award of the ESIL Book Prize and the ESIL Young Scholar Prize

Social events include an informal  ‘Neapolitan pizza evening’ (Thursday) and a conference dinner which will be held in the San Gennaro church after a walk through the Catacombs of San Gennaro (Friday).

Les inscriptions anticipées à la 13ème conférence annuelle de la Société européenne de droit international sont désormais ouvertes.
La conférence aura lieu à Naples du jeudi 7 au samedi 9 septembre 2017 et aura pour thème : « Biens publics mondiaux, patrimoine commun de l'humanité et valeurs fondamentales : réponses du droit international ».

Organisée par l'université de Naples Federico II, la conférence aura lieu au Castel dell'Ovo, superbe forteresse médiévale située sur le front de mer.

Voici les moments forts de la conférence :
·         18 tables-rondes avec plus de 50 présentations
·         Activités préalables à la conférence, organisées par les groupes de réflexion de la SEDI (mercredi 6 septembre)
·         Cérémonie d’ouverture au Théâtre du Palais royal, pendant laquelle Mme Sundhya Pahuja (Université de Melbourne) prononcera le discours inaugural
·         Cérémonie de clôture, lors de laquelle M. Riccardo Pisillo Mazzeschi (Université de Sienne) interviendra
·         Une table-ronde sur l’actualité la plus récente
·         Exposition de livres par les membres institutionnels de la SEDI ainsi que d’autres exposants
·         Une conversation avec le gagnant du prix du livre de la SEDI 2017
·         La remise du prix du livre de la SEDI et du prix SEDI du jeune chercheur

Parmi les événements prévus : une soirée “Pizza napolitaine” (jeudi 7) et le dîner de la Conférence qui aura lieu à la Basilique San Gennaro après la visite de ses catacombes (vendredi 8).
